Due to the special service in Munich on 7 June to celebrate the full communion agreement between the Episcopal Church and the Evangelisch-Lutheranische Kirche in Bayern (Protestant-Lutheran Church in Bavaria), and Presiding Bishop Sean Rowe’s visit to Church of the Ascension, Munich on 8 June, we will not be holding our usual Sunday worship at the Jakobskirche in Nuremberg.

We are sorry to inform you last minute, but due to illness, our worship service tomorrow, January 26th, is cancelled.

Our next worship service will be on February 8th 2025 @ 4pm (16:00 Uhr).

We apologize for any inconvenience. Please keep Father Scott in your prayers that he may get better soon.

As our priest Fr. Scott will not be able to travel to Nuremberg for the service and we haven’t been able to find another priest to conduct the service, we’ve cancelled this Sunday’s service.

We’ll be back together on 11 February (provided there’s not another DB strike… or severe weather)

We are meeting at the Jakobskirche at 16:00 on 10 April 2022 for our Palm Sunday service. All are welcome, whether you’ve been with St. James the Less for years or have never been to one of our services before.

We have not been told whether or not masks are now optional in the Jakobskirche, so please bring one with you.

Despite the high number of new cases in Nuremberg, we’ve decided to return to in-person worship with Eucharist this Sunday (23 January 2022) as the omicron variant is dominant in this region and relatively mild, particularly for vaccinated persons.

As we did before the pandemic, we will meet in the main part of the Jakobskirche at 16:00.

Unlike before the pandemic, we will all be wearing FFP2 masks (elementary school-aged children may wear medical masks) the entire service and only Fr. Scott will be singing. Please sit only with your own household, making full use of the Jakobskirche’s grand nave. Eucharist will be distributed, but only the bread – please keep your mask on while waiting.
